Abundant Times is just over a year old. I’m so proud of everything this blog represents and excited to see what can be achieved in the future. With this in mind, in December 2024, I made the decision to launch Abundant Times as a Ltd. business.

Given the knowledge we have about the damage we’re causing on a planetary scale, going forwards I believe businesses should be a force for good, even a form of activism. The days of running a business with profit as the sole goal are coming to an end. Companies need to be regenerative at their core, considering and measuring their impact on people, community, supply chains and of course the environment.

Through Abundant Times Ltd., I’m combining my love of the natural world and desire to help reduce humanity’s negative impact on the planet using my storytelling experience and the magic of the written word. I’m already working on projects for three clients who are telling environmental stories through the lens of film and books.

Measuring Impact
Like many others, I’m on a sustainability journey of discovery, learning more every day. I believe we should tread as lightly on the earth as possible, acting as stewards to nurture for those who follow. An eighth of all money earned through Abundant Times’ storytelling and creative services will be split equally between two not-for-profit organisations that are very close to my heart. This donation is written into all Abundant Times’ client contracts. The Ethos Foundation supports East African refugees through permaculture education programs, and the Elmbridge Community Eco Hub supports the Hersham and Walton-on-Thames community in Surrey, UK through its many beneficial initiatives. As well as measuring the company’s activities, it’s important to make its impact public. The first Abundant Times Ltd. Impact Report will be published in 2026.

The blog is the beating heart
The blog still plays a hugely important role in Abundant Times’ future and my plan to publish a Zine is still in the works, although I’ve had to shift the timeline on this from last year to this year. The first Zine will be a tribute to the Greenham Common Women’s Peace Camp. The blog will always be free of charge, and blog posts featuring Abundant Times Ltd. clients will be clearly labelled.
