A poem to honour the winter solstice.
By Kate Ford.
Today I saw the ravens.
They reminded me of truth.
Ancient wisdom imprinted on their feathers like bark on a tree.
The woods are full of magic if you dare to look.
Alive with wonder, ready to share.
But leave your ego at the entrance.
For there is no room for judgement here.
Drop into the rhythm and Mother Nature will guide you home.
Back to where you came from.
Before the human imprint deafened your soul, claimed your spirit.
Whispering “you need more”…
A bigger house, bigger car, bigger dreams.
But those dreams are nightmares, entrapments.
Today I saw the ravens.
They reminded me of truth.
The path less travelled.
Today I saw the ravens.
They reminded me of home.
